The Ontario East Economic Development Commission (Ontario East) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 8, 2023 in Toronto at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre. The meeting was opened by guest speaker Trevor Dauphinee, CEO, Invest Ontario who updated attendees on Invest Ontario activities and the importance of partnerships with regional organizations like Ontario East. The following Directors and Officers were approved by the Members and the Board of Directors, respectively:
- President: Stephen Paul, Director, Community Development, Lennox & Addington County
- Vice-President/Treasurer: TJ Flynn, Investment Attraction Officer, Northumberland County
- Past-President: Chris King, CEO, Quinte Economic Development Commission
- Secretary: Jay Amer, Director, Ontario East Economic Development Commission
- Director: Kelley Lemenchick, Community Development Officer/EODP Coordinator, Renfrew County Community Economic Development Corporation
- Director: Abdul Razak Jendi, Investment Manager, Kingston Economic Development
- Director: Bob Peters, Manager, Economic Development, City of Cornwall
- Director: Bonnie Ruddock, Executive Director, Regional Tourism Organization RTO 9/South Eastern Ontario
President Stephen Paul thanked outgoing President Chris King and Past-President Shelley Hirstwood for their contributions and support of Ontario East. Shelley's term has ended, and Chris will remain on the board as Past-President as a member of the executive committee. Welch LLP were appointed as auditors for the next fiscal year. The meeting was attended by 40 members.
